New Melones Lake is located in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an elevation of approximately 1,100 feet (330 m) above sea level.

Thanks for coming by Mike ~ we love the Civil War History even though it saddens me so… of course I love all history of our country… I would love to read your blog on the Civil War diaries ~ what is the blog address?

Hi Donna, The blog address is http://dotcw.com . The civil war was a true tragedy for the nation — with a lot of personal tragedy. I suppose it made us mature as a nation, but what a sacrifice to get there.
